What are you using for the interface dll? Are you using the FactorySoft one that the examples from the perl module used? From the module notes: It is assumed that you are using the FactorySoft OPC automation DLL which has the progid 'OPC.Automation' as your OPC dispatch inteface for your OPC server. I haven't tried the OPC module yet, but it looked pretty convenient.
