So: No (live) displays and no Alarms?
Does this account for the two? So neither AW or WP works?

I would try to check the bindings of the Network card to I/A protocol.
Don't ask me how to check this, but when everything works fine over TCP/IP
and nothing comes through according to the I/A software, this usually is
related to missing card_to_protocol bindings.
You can't see these in the Network display (Control Panel) but you can
reestablish the binding when you:

1 disable I/A software (The red fox in the Control Panel) reboot the WP
2 Place the I/A Series CD.
3 From the CD, run "setup" and when you have the option, Choose "Other
Installation Functions".
4 Choose the top left button reading "Network Bindings".
Select the correct NIC for this

Hope this does not make it worse...

Regards

Yes, Displaying and Alarming would be nice.
I kind of figured the configurators would not work.
and the CBP function would be cause for great rejoicing.

What functionality are you thinking of?
A WP70 is only good for Displaying and Alarming.
Configurators and the likes will not work. Display configuration should =
be
possible and the "browse" function for CBP 's is established with a =
correct
AIMAPI or FOXAPI setup.

Subject: [foxboro] AW70 to WP70 via Ethernet

Hi Folks,

I have a AW70 and a WP70 connected over ethernet.
I am able to copy files back and forth, but can not
get any Foxboro functionality to work.
I have tried playing with the an_init.cfg file to no avail.
And spent half a day looking through Foxboro documents
to find explicit information on getting these boxes to talk.

Question1: Does anyone have this setup working?
Question2: Has anyone found any documention on this setup?
I have found plenty on AW70 and WP70, but it rarely speaks
of the two together.

T.I.A.
