Its the same for us
we run histcfg from /opt/aim/bin
opening the VT session from FoxView sets up the display variables correctly
for remote sessions

I remember hearing a couple of years ago, that the AIM Historian
Configurator was not available for Solaris machines. We currently have AIM
version 3.1 and the pick for Hist Config is greyed out. Is this software
available yet and how can we get it?
