Each scan group has its own rate. It's configured using the configuration tool.
Additionally, the AIM*API configuration file can set the fastest allowed scan
rate.
Re: How does the OPC Server scan the CPs, Compounds, Blocks, ect... is it in a
specific order? Only on change per some delta, or does it update per the
clients request?
The OPC Server DOES NOT scan the tags. It uses the OM to subscribe to them and
reports changes based on the specified change delta.

I have a few questions about the AIM OPC Server. Sorry, these are probably
pretty basic questions, and I should know this since I've been using AIM OPC
for some time, but I usually get something working and move on to the next
challenge.
1. Where is the scan rate for the OPC server actually set? In the
AIMAPI.cfg file?
2. How does the OPC Server scan the CPs, Compounds, Blocks, ect... is it
in a specific order? Only on change per some delta, or does it update per the
clients request?
I'm asking mainly, because we have an AIM OPC server feeding a PI client, and
from time to time there's some stagnant values in the data. The data may go
flat lined for 5 minutes or so, but then eventually starts updating again. It's
like the OPC server is getting overwhelmed for a short time, but then clears
itself.
