Alex,

Unfortunately it's the Legacy Historian. Too slow?
How do I store the absolute value of ERROR?
I can use ABS in a MATH or CALC Block, totalise this in ACCUM and then coll=
ect in Historian or PI.
I was hoping I could configure a collection point for each ERROR parameter,=
then use a reduction group to process these as totalisations based on the =
absolute value of the collection point.

Thanks

Greg

The ERROR parameter is connectable for read and you can add it to your
historian just as with any other point.

You can configure the reduction in the historian.

The issue will be CPU loading on the Historian platform if you use "real"
reduction groups as opposed to letting it be calculated on the fly.

Which Historian are you using? The I/A Series Historian stores reduction
groups in Informix and will be too slow; AIM*Historian on a modern platform
should be able to handle things well.

Does this help?

For all of our PID controllers, I would like store 10 minute totalisations =

of the absolute ERROR parameter. Is there any way of doing this using a red=
