Funny how such a small piece of paper can so arbitrarily speak for so many scientists, and through such ambiguous definition. In spirit, here's a copy of the document disputing the outcome of that vote. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/planetprotest/signatures_final.pdf While I am not learned enough to present thorough argument one way or the other, I find the approved definition somewhat questionable. I also wonder about those who now dispute the decision. Were they not given opportunity to weigh-in before the vote? Based on your knowledge and experience, what would have been your vote? This really is a significant issue, and I'm sure we'll see that definition rewritten in the not-to-distant future.
