The annual Taos Youth Flight Rally is coming up. It will be on Saturday, 9
Sept 23. Pilots will meet at the FBO at 0700 "sharp" for a briefing on the
route, procedures and safety issues. We will provide donuts and coffee for all
pilots. Typically we have between 80 and 100 students participating ranging in
age from 8-17 years. For you to participate you need an aircraft in good
condition, a pilot's license, current medical, current check ride, landing
currency, proficiency and liability insurance. Angel Pala provides lunch and
the FBO will provide fuel at below cost. By the way, the next set of parts for
the fuel farm should be in next week, I am very sorry about the continued
inconvenience to all of you. Chuck Sheldon and I started doing this event in
2004. This will be our 17th year. This is by far our most effective way to show
the community who we are so I hope everyone can make it. We also have a lot of
fun. I (Kino) will run the event as usual. I need you to commit to the event.
Please provide me with your name and the aircraft you intend to fly. As always,
the Taos flying community steps up to the plate. Thank you very much.
