I guess my question is to what end is the purpose of this association? We
already have an annual Christmas party hosted by Kino and the FBO.
Occasionally a local pilot will hose a hanger party. We have the Fly Taos list
serve to distribute ideas and information. I am not anti association, just
wondering how this will be different from what has been going on since before I
ever arrived in town.

I got a few good feedback items from my previous email about starting a Taos
Pilots Association. However, even if you didn't have any particular feedback on
the document, it would be great to hear expressions of interest from those of
you who would be interested in joining.
My working assumption that it makes the most sense to hold association meetings
monthly (if you disagree, please suggest an alternative and the reasoning...),
and I'd like suggestions as to the best day of the month and time.
My suggestion would be the 2nd Wednesday of the month, at 5:00pm if dinner or
some noshing is included, or 7:00pm if it's just the meeting. I'm going to
speak to Kino about using the Taos Aviation meeting room, but alternate
suggestions are welcome. I'd like to have an initial/organizing meeting next
month, before we get too far into end-of-year and the Holidays.
It would also be nice to have a TPA slogan - something we could print on a TPA
T-shirt/hat/etc. Ideas welcome for that as well.
