The contractor restriping Runway 4/22 was not able to finish today due to high
winds. The runway will reopen at 4PM today (2200 UTC) and will close again at
6:30AM tomorrow morning (1230 UTC), allowing arrivals and departures this
evening and early tomorrow morning. The work is expected to be completed by
noon tomorrow, although I have allowed an extra 2 hours in the new NOTAM. The
NOTAM will be cancelled and an email sent out as soon as we are open again.

Just a reminder, San Bar will not begin restriping Taos Regional Airport Runway
4/22 today, June 13. The closure will now take place Thursday, June 16. The
contractor expects to be here and close the runway at 10:00 AM. Weather
permitting, the runway should be re-opened by end of the day Friday, June 17. I
will submit a NOTAM when the time is confirmed by San Bar.

Thursday, June 16, possibly as early as 8:00 AM, but more likely around 10 or
11:00 AM. The contractor will let me know a more precise schedule for the
closure tomorrow. I'll get the word out as soon as I know for sure.
