News from Nepal
· The main item is the Flora of Nepal Project Meeting which will be
held at NAST on 23 November (Mangshir 8th). We look forward to hearing about
the progress made at the meeting, and Shandesh Bhattarai will prepare a brief
report on it for the next Update.
· Ram Chaudhary has moved within Tribhuvan University and is now
Executive Director of TU-RECAST (Research Centre for Applied Science and
Technology)
News from RBGE
· Max Weigend and his student Julia König have begun work on the
account of the Boraginaceae for Volume 4.
· Bhaskar Adhikari is mid-way through his fieldwork and has already
collected a very impressive 38 species out of the 73 currently known from Nepal.
