Guys, how many of you are going to be attending the Friday night festivities?
I am not able to come to the Saturday funfest (either on campus or out at
Countermarch) due to a family wedding here in NoTex, but I can make it down on
Friday night if any of you are going to be there.
What say you?
Thankee,
BSch

As reported on farcebook, I'll be there Friday afternoon.
One correction to Pointon's directions - FM 6 should read FM 60. FM 6 runs
between Garland and Caddo Mills.

count of two (2) for the Monroe crew - we'll be doing the Friday on campus, but
will be at the Farm Saturday.
I like Groad's choices. I will have a bottle (maybe two) of Blue Note Juke
Joint unfiltered uncut. Story to follow on location on why this is called the
whisky that survived.
I may also bring some Bibb & Tucker.

BQ Pachanga: 22 OCTOBER 2022
Situation: Concomitant with the on campus Class of ‘77 Reunion, the South
Carolina game being away, and an opportunity to gather, break bread and tell
the stories and embellishments of our time on the Quad.
Mission: Gather the BQ classes of 74, 75, 76, 78, 79, 80, and other invited
guests, with the last of the truly Red @$$ class, that being ‘77, at
CounterMarch Farm, on the weekend of 22 Oct 2022.
Execution:
Concept of the Operation: The 2022 BQ Pachanga extends an invitation to the
BQ Classes of ‘74, ‘75, ‘76, ‘78, ‘79, ‘80, their families and invited
guests. The annual gathering at CounterMarch Farm, between Snook and
Caldwell, will feature a barbeque meal, the televised Fightin’ Texas Aggie
football game vs South Carolina and an opportunity to enjoin relationships
enjoyed long ago.
NOTE: many of the activities described herein are dependent on the time of
the Aggie football game. And FRAGOs ( updates) effecting this to be
forthcoming.
Ruth and I will forego attempts by the Association of Former Students (AFS)
to separate us from more of our money, and will be at the Farm all day
Saturday.
Coordinating Instructions:
a. This invitation includes all members of the BQ Classes of ‘74, ‘75, ‘76,
‘78, ‘79, and ‘80. Dissemination further of this invitation within each of
those classes is highly encouraged.
The single most important piece of information is head count. This
information may be asked repeatedly if only to have sufficient food, while
minimizing leftovers. (not that the leftovers won’t be good).
b. The address for CounterMarch Farm is:
7756 County Road (CR) 119
Caldwell, TX 77436
In the interest of brevity, “directions” will be provided in Annex A.
c. Barbeque brisket, Kovasovic’s sausage, potato salad, coleslaw, beans and
trimmings will be provided. Barbeque will be smoked by Shawn Pennington.
d. Participants are encouraged to bring chairs and libations.
e. Port-a-potties will be on sight for the duration of the weekend.
f. A donation bucket will be provided to help cover costs of the event.
g. For those having their own mobile accommodations, we have plenty of
space. Water and grey and black water dumping are also available, otherwise
“primitive” conditions exist. For reference please contact Rick Weaver ‘77.
h. The weekend activities shall commence upon the arrival to the Farm of the
first participants and end on the departure of the last.
i. As this year’s pachanga is being held the same weekend as the ‘77
reunion, Ruth and I plan to participate in the Friday evening gathering on
campus. However, don’t allow this to prevent your access to gather at the
Farm before hand, the front gate will remain open.
j. Invited guests are defined as anyone you think would also enjoy the
camaraderie of this gathering. No one is excluded, period.
k. Pets are welcome. There is plenty of space to run. Buddy and Jesse get
along with other dogs.
Note: Buddy our rescue hound does run down and kill skunks, raccoons, and
opossums. He’ll also pursue and dispatch cats that run. After initial
capture Jesse joins in the fray. So these pets are not recommended.
Signal: Because there’s no command involved)

Logistics: Have been covered in Coordinating Instructions
Annex A - Directions to CounterMarch Farm
7756 County Rd. 119
Caldwell 77836
The Farm is in between Caldwell and Snook just off of FM 3058, which
intersects with FM 6 out of College Station.
This is the easiest.
The intersection of County Road 119 is three miles from the intersection of
FM 6 on FM 3058. There is a white water tower which is one mile from the
intersection of FM 3058 and CR 119.
You can also access CR 119 from TX Highway 36 between Lyons and Caldwell
From Caldwell, take FM 116 from TX 36, for a mile and a half and turn onto FM
3058.
If you use a phone app It will end at the first property on the left as you
turn onto County Road 119 from FM 3058, ours is second property on the left,
the front fence is 2x4 horse fence and we have green gates. There will also
be an Aggie Band flag flying at the gate.
After you come through the green gate cross the creek.
