Do they have southern accents like the southerners in America do?

This made me chuckle because the southerners on the Korean peninsula (South
Koreans) do not even have a word for "cousin". Cousins are the same as
brothers and sisters in their culture. Guess they really are southerners .

I have read that it has become sort of an "accepted" definition to be second
cousins since so many people worded it like that - but technically she was my
first cousin once removed. In other words, her dad and I were first cousins
but then she was one more generation "removed" from me. She and my sons would
technically be second cousins since they are the same generation - twice
removed from grandparents' generation (I think).

Thank you Karen, I’m sorry to hear about your cousin (can’t figure out how that
works 2nd cousin?) I just hope that this vaccine program gets more efficient so
we can look forward to living again! Jane

Jane, I'm sorry for what your cousin's wife has had to go through - and
will continue to - but good news that she is progressing. I just lost
a relative to COVID at age 61 - her dad was my first cousin. Scary
scary thing...

Sounds like it will be a long wait for a vaccine for our age group
everywhere. According to our state “Crush Covid”, website this week medical
staff, hospital workers, first responders, prisoners & staff, clinic staff,
nursing home residents & staffs & the city of Central Falls residents are
being done! We need another manufacturer to get approval. There is a shortage
everywhere. Surely there is some company willing to make syringes too! I was
surprised that one city gets to be first, but their positivity rate is 30%!
I’ll be pissed I’d i find out it’s because they weren’t following the rules!!
75 and up is the next group. CVS & Walgreens are gearing up to do more than
just nursing homes so I hope that means they’ll do an appointment system like
they are doing for testing & have done for flu shots.
My cousin’s wife in NE has been in ICU on a vent for 5 weeks with Covid. Good
news she came off the ventilator yesterday! She had a tracheotomy & has a
long way to go, but good news. The virus attacked her bowel & has an
illeostomy. Poor thing. She’s 71.
Stay well everyone & be patient! Jane
