Steve, you obviously haven't looked at the weather map. There is still snow
clear out in Iowa that is coming your way. There are a couple holes in the
storm and that is probably what you are experiencing. We, Freeport, are in one
of these holes and the snow has let up for a while. Look at Intellicast.com
and it will show you the weather for the entire country. If you click on your
individual state you will see the map for that. It ain't over yet, but don't
give up hope, you can start your snowman now and finish it when the snow
actually stops.

Our storm is pretty much over here and we got a lot of snow, may get a little
more, but the worst is over.
Now the cleanup begins, which is a challenge because it is a heavy wet snow.
The quiet serenity of a beautiful snow scene is being disrupted by the roar of
snow blowers around the neighborhood. Our shovel doesn't make much noise but
it will have to wait for awhile since we have nowhere to go.
Here's a peek out our back window:
There is an interesting blue ring around the edge of our lake we've never seen
before.
The scene out our front window is a little different as we watched our neighbor
struggle with his snowblower.
Stay safe, Steve
