Subject: [fhs-65] VETERAN'S DAY

A heart-felt THANK YOU to all veterans and today especially to those of
you who are active in our egroup!   I know we have Mike, Dave, Steve.
There's Roger but I don't think he follows us at all any more.  Who am I
forgetting?   Some of you gals have spouses who served also - and some
of us have children who have served. Many our age had dads who served in
World War II - for me it was uncles and good family friends.  Anyone
have a grandchild serving?  Please tell me if I'm missing egroup members
-- a big THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to you all.  Mike, I believe you
usually took part in some ceremony or other on this day each year.
Anything planned this year?  I enjoy seeing all the flags around town -
even some businesses have a display and FHS has a nice row of flags
along West Avenue and another along Empire which includes the flag for
each branch of service.  Love seeing the patriotism on display!  Many
restaurants offer free meals to Veterans today -- so please take
advantage and enjoy every bite.   Veterans, any of you attending
ceremonies today???

Karen
