Howdy,

first of all, thanks for your localization. i just merged it! :).
about your problem:
does an error come up? or does it just not speak?
if it just does not speak, pulseaudio needs to be configured.
problem is that fenrir is running as root, pulseaudio only plays the sound for the same user logged in. As root is not logged in you do not hear sound.
For this fenrir provides an configuration script that makes pulseaudio (root) stream its sound to your users pulseaudio instance. last one plays the sound than. this is not an issue of fenrir, but the way pulseaudio works.

for this you need to call the configuration script twice once as user, once as root

configure_pulse.sh
sudo configure_pulse.sh

this is currently not documented very well, i added this to the README.

you also can send me an debug file to see if any errors appear

fenrir -d

just start and stop to capture the initialization sequence.
then you find the debugfile in
/tmp/fenrirscreenreader<timestamp>

cheers chrys
