Hello Food Council Members!
September is Hunger Action Month! In Ohio, 1,691,910 people are struggling
with hunger - and of them 510,030 are children (Feeding America, Map the
Meal Gap <https://map.feedingamerica.org/> 2017). Come learn about the
great work that's going on in Franklin County to help alleviate food
insecurity.
Our four guest speakers this month are:
- Kerry McCarthy from Mid-Ohio Food Bank
- Jacob Popovic from Columbus State's Mid-Ohio Market
- Christina Allen from Best Food Forward
- Martin Butler from Neighborhood Services Food Pantry.
Our Council meeting will be on *Wednesday, September 18th from
4:30-6:00pm in the 2nd floor Auditorium at Columbus Public Health, 240
Parsons Ave, Columbus OH.*
