Joe received an e- mail with the address of an important link, and
wondered how he could save that link onto
His desktop:
Albert has send him and all of us the instructions:
Creating a shortcut on your desktop from an email containing a link.
1.
Open the email containing the link.
Select the link shift plus end. Copy this link to the clipboard control
plus C.
2.
Go to the desktop and highlight any of the icons on the desktop.
3.
Press control plus spacebar this will unselect the icon on the desktop.
4.
Go to the application key and arrow down until you come to new submenu
press the enter key.
5.
here you are given two choices namely folder and shortcut press enter on
the shortcut.
6.
You are now placed in an edit field, press control plus V to copy the link
from the clipboard press enter.
7.
You are now asked to create a meaningful name for the shortcut press
backspace to clear any letters in the edit field. and finally press enter
and your done.

There was a lengthy discussion on Borrowbox, it seems that Marian will have
to apply again to her library to get fixed up again after her change of
phone.
Marian recently purchased a new SE2 iPhone, and like some of those in the
exchange club in Cork on Saturday has found the battery not very good.
People talking about reclaiming vat, and Paul told them about getting a vat
refund from the tax office withing a week, for a grant aided bathroom.
Some people were wearing headphones while taking part in the zoom meeting
and found them useful.
