Hi Dominique,
Use the link below anytime you want to use basic html view in Gmail. I would
suggest that you make a shortcut on your desktop using this link as the
target and then when prompted give the shortcut a user friendly name such as
Gmail. Now you have a permanent link to the gmail basic website.

Hi All!
I'm wondering if you could possibly assist me with a baffling item of
technology.
I access my e-mails in Windows Mail and only go onto my Gmail account on the
Website to check my spam folder. I always viewed this in "BASIC HTML" and
was able to set this as the default setting so that every time I went in to
my account that setting appeared as it is the best way to view using Jaws.
But now, unknown to me, this setting goes straight to "Standard View" and
there doesn't seem to be a setting to change this over to "BASIC HTML".
There used to be an option to "save your preferred setting by entering on
button" after your preferred viewing option. I have e-mailed Gmail
regarding this, but they never contacted me. Do you techy geniuses know how
to set "BASIC HTML " AS MY DEFAULT PAGE? I've gone into "Settings", but
found nothing there to enlighten me further.

I am using Jaws 11 and Windows Vista. Do I need to change to a new browser?

with Jaws. Basic HTML is my prefered method to view this page as Standard
View is not as easily navagated.
