Just thinking that a member of the tech club last Saturday as far as I
can remember reported on this list that they had a positive outcome in
successfully completing the log in albeit after much efforts on their part.
Perhaps as they are a lot more experienced than me thy may well be able
to assist here in taking you and others through the steps.
I don't want to appear to be anyway unhelpful I assure you on this but
my mail should really clarify the matter earlier as far as I know.
I presume as I say that you are registered with NCBI and have too an
Amazon account.
The passwword they talk of is the NCBI one, the one you enter for
accessing their site as I remember it.
Part of my problem (but not entirely) was that I was using an old password!
?So you enable the skill in the Alexa app then proceed as I outlined in
my mail of last evening.
I have to confess I did have my wife assist me but think I could have
done it myself had the NCBI instructions ben better.
After inputting your details we hit the phone number that came up (but
am not sure if that is really required) and then in my case placed my
finger on the home button to verify.
It does take a bit of time and patience but if you are all registered et
al you should get there.

Well I'm fully logged in to my NCBI smart hub account but not after much
pulling out of hair and all of that I assure you.
So from memory I entered my name and email address phone number and
password from the iPhone, then double-tapped my phone number that came
up, placed my finger on the home button to verify and bingo!
Perhaps it would be best if NCBI in the future get totals to check out
these things first before foisting them on to us without we not knowing
firstly how to log in to them!
