Competition Terms and Conditions
Organiser
This raffle competition is being run by Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind
(âIGDBâ).
Eligibility
This competition is open to natural persons aged over 18 as well as
incorporated and unincorporated bodies. There is a requirement that competition
entrants be resident in Ireland.
Employees and their immediate families of IGDB, its agents or anyone else
professionally connected with the competition shall not be eligible to enter
the competition.
No competition entries from agents, third parties, organised groups or entries
automatically generated by computer will be accepted.
Participation in Competition
Entry to the competition will require each participant to:
1. Go to the IGDB website (www.guidedogs.ie) and donate a minimum of
â¬10.00 using the donation facility before the competition closing date,
2. Follow the once-off donation process, ensuring to provide relevant
contact details.
One donation of a minimum of â¬10.00 donation enables a participant to submit
one entry to the competition.
Participants are free to enter the competition as often as they wish provided
that a minimum donation of â¬10.00 has been made prior to each entry
submitted. To illustrate this by way of example, a donation of â¬100.00 would
entitle a donor to submit up to 10 individual entries to the competition.
IGDB cannot accept any responsibility for difficulties experienced in
submitting an entry to this competition, and IGDB cannot accept any
responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed or not received.
Selection of Competition Winner
Two competition prize winners and one runner-up will be selected.
The competition prize winners and winner of the runner-up prize will be chosen
at random.
Opening and Closing Date
The opening and closing dates of the competition will be announced by IGDB.
Entries submitted after the closing date will not be included in the
competition.
It is intended that the prize winners will be notified by 12 June.
Prize
The prize will take the form of the opportunity to attend a dinner or lunch
hosted by Roy Keane (âthe Eventâ).
Each competition prize winner will be entitled to attend the Event themselves,
and will be entitled to bring 4 other guests of their choice.
Both competition prize winners and their guests will be in attendance at the
same Event.
The Event will take place in the Republic of Ireland at a location to be
determined by IGDB. Each prize winner and his/her/its guests will be
responsible for all incidental costs incurred in attending the Event including
but not limited to transport to and from the Event, accommodation and travel
insurance (if necessary).
The date and timing of the Event will be subject to the availability of Roy
Keane. IGDB will consult with each prize winner to arrange a suitable date.
However, any date agreed may be subject to change by IGDB at its absolute
discretion.
Each selected prize winner must contact IGDB within 3 days of being notified
that they have won the prize; otherwise, the right of that person to claim the
prize will be lost and a new winner may be selected.
IGDB reserves the right at its absolute sole discretion to select an
alternative winner in the event that in IGDBâs opinion any winner has
contravened any of these Terms and Conditions.
No Cash in Lieu, Non-Transferability
No cash or other alternative in part or full will be offered in lieu of any
prize.
The prizes are not transferable and under no circumstances may a prize be sold
on (in full or in part) by a prize winner.
Right to Amend or Terminate Competition
IGDB reserves the right in its absolute sole discretion to amend, alter or
terminate the competition at any time due to circumstances beyond their control.
Circumstances may occur or render the competition itself or the awarding of the
prize or the holding of the Event impossible due to reasons beyond the control
of IGDB. If such an event occurs, IGDB shall not be liable to any competition
entrant or winner.
The holding of the Event may be subject to legislative restrictions associated
with health protection that are beyond the control of IGDB.
Publicity
The prize winners (and their guests) may be required to participate in any
publicity that IGDB reasonably requires. Where IGDB creates or commissions
photos, video, sound recordings or other PR materials that feature a winner or
their guests, the winner agrees (and will procure that their guests agree), to
the publication of such content on any IGDB website or in any other media.
Non-Acceptance of Liability by IGDB
By participating in this competition, participants agree, to the maximum extent
permitted by applicable laws, to release and hold IGDB harmless from any and
all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind
arising from participation in or in connection with the competition. The above
limitation of liability shall not apply to death or personal injury caused as a
result of IGDB negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
By participating in this competition each participant represents and warrants
that he or she does not have any criminal convictions or criminal record and
has not undertaken any past act or conduct which could affect the reputation of
the competition or IGDB.
Entry into this competition will be deemed to be a full and unconditional
acceptance by each participant of the Terms and Conditions of this competition.
A failure to adhere to these Terms and Conditions may result in
disqualification from the competition and, if applicable, forfeiture of the
prize.
Finality of Decisions by IGDB
IGDBâs decision on all aspects of the competition is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Irish law and subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
Oversight of Administration of the Competition
Oversight of the Competition draw, to ensure that it is administered in
accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be provided by a firm of
solicitors, independent of IGDB.
Non-Association with Social Media Platforms
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or
associated with, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter, and IGDB release
Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter of any and all liability in relation
to this promotion. You are providing your information to IGDB and not to
Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter.
