Welcome to NCBI's monthly technology podcast, which takes a look in the main at
what's happening in the assistive technology area for people with sight loss in
Ireland.
Presented by Stuart Lawler, the podcast will introduce you to not only some of
the technological innovations and projects that are taking place around NCBI,
but also what is happening with other organisations in Ireland and beyond.

The Episodes
Episode 1 - June 2012

Welcome to our very first Technology Podcast. On this first episode, Paul
Traynor, NCBI's Technical Support officer talks about his work and gives us
some tech tips to keep our computers in top shape.

Greg Fields from Research In Motion (RIM) talks about BlackBerry accessibility,
and we hear a quick demo of the new BlackBerry screen reader.

Mark Magennis, director of the Centre for Inclusive Technology at NCBI tells us
all about the digital TV switchover and some of the potential problems being
faced by people with sight loss.

Finally, broadcaster and musician Joe Bollard tells us about some of his
favourite technology and how he uses it.

You can also listen directly to the podcast, without downloading the file.
