Ken gave the group a demonstration of the app called Apache Pizza. Over all he
was very impressed with it.
Derry wanted to know how to forward a text message to another person. Marta
told Derry how to do this.
Ken asked Cearbhall if your phone was pin protected how would a person be able
to call your next of kin in case of a emergency. As Ken save the ice number to
his phone. Cearbhall told Ken to go into
Siri settings and make sure access when locked is turned on. Once this is done
you can use
Siri to call a persons ice number.
Ken asked the group did voiceover freeze up on the IPhone after sending or
forwarding a email for 1 to 2 minutes. Marta seemed to be having the same issue.
Derry asked the group how to set a reminder on his phone. Ken told Derry the
best way to do this was to use
Siri. As Ken found this the quickest way to set the reminder.
The group had a general chat about Jaws and NVDA. Cearbhall much prefers NVDA
to jaws.
Kenâs issue when trying to log out of the Facebook app for the last few weeks
seems to be fixed when he updated the app yesterday.
Ken made a suggestion for the moment while the group is waiting to hear if they
can go ahead with voice bridge why not one or two people that want to get
involved with the club and cant make it why not face time one or two of the
members that are at the meeting. Cearbhall and Ken done a test at the meeting
with there phones and the quality seemed to be very good. Marta is going to
bring her Bluetooth speaker into the next meeting to check out the sound.
