In attendance Derry Walsh, Ken Walsh, Pat Walsh, Pat Mc Carthy, Ita Carroll and
Cearbhall O Meadhra on Speaker phone.
Derry asked the group did anyone know why Siri suddenly stopped working on an
IPhone. As one of his friendâs seemed to be having trouble.
Cearbhall , Ken and Pat Mc Carthy told Derry a few things to try.
Pat Walsh told the group he lost his IPhone a few weeks ago and thought he
would never get it back again. He got the phone blocked.
He managed to get it back a few days ago. He contacted Vodafone to get it
unblocked.
Pat could still not make calls or receive texts. He asked the group for their
thoughts.
Pat Mc Carthy and Ken felt the phone was still blocked. Ken and pat explored
the phone settings.
After the meeting Pat confirmed Vodafone had not unblocked the phone.
Ita wanted to check her text messages on her IPhone without using Siri. Ken and
Pat Mc Carthy helped her with this.
Pat Mc Carthy showed the group the template for the upcoming referendum.
Ken downloaded the app Google news on Albertâs recommendation from a email
that was sent out to the mailing list this morning.
Ken was really impressed with it.
Cearbhall asked Ken could he explain how the app worked.
Pat Mc Carthy told the group about the app EyeD. Ken and Pat were really
impressed with it.
They liked the section where am I and read text in image.
When searching for this app in the app store. You need to type in Gingermind.

Ken told the group he is taking a step back from taking notes at the Cork
meetings. As he is not going to be around for a while. From next week on.
The group will chat more on this at next weeks meeting to see who will take
over Kenâs role.
The next Cork meeting is on Saturday 26th of May at 11am
