Thanks for the excellent notes on the meeting, Paul!
Just a reminder that Fighting Blindness has asked us to advise the
development team about the fighting blindness.ie web site. They would like
us all to review the site and let them know if it is good enough, usable
with a screen reader and / or if any alterations are needed to make it more
accessible.
I think we should, particularly, take a look at the use of graphics. Are
there any graphics there that do not have alt-text to describe the graphic?
We should also see if our own sight-loss conditions are described clearly
enough! Should there be anything added to improve the description?
All these suggestions will be taken seriously and acted upon by the
development team so let's give them a hand!

MARY HAD A PROBLEM WITH USING BORROWBOX, WHEN SHE GOES TO THE CATOGORIES ,
AND CLICKS ON ADULT, SHE IS PRESENTED WITH A NUMBER OF BOOK COVERS, A
DESCRIPTION OF THESE BOOKS ENSUES, BUT THE TITLE IS NOT MENTIONED FOR SOME
TIME LATER WHEN SHE SWIPES RIGHT, IT APPEARS THAT THE COVERS ARE ONLY
IMAGES, AND THE TITLE OF THE BOOK IS PLACE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GRAPHIC,
RATHER THAN AT THE TOP, SO IT COULD BE READ FIRST, CEARBHALL HAS A MEETING
WITH THE BORROW BOX PEOPLE TOMORROW, AND HAS PROMISED TO BRING THIS
COMPLAINT TO THEIR NOTICE.
PAUL TOLD OF HIS PROBLEM LAST MONDAY, WHEN HE INADVERTENTLY INSTALLED THE
2ND FACTOR SECURITY SYSTEM HIS WIFE PUT IN THE WRONG PASSWORD AND HIS
PHONE WAS DISABLED.
AFTER RINGING THE APPLE HELP LINE,
WHERE HE HAD TWO ONE HOUR PHONE CALLS WITH AGENTS WHO COULD NOT FIX THE
PROBLEM, FINALLY ANOTHER AGENT USED THE iCLOULD TO FIND HIS PHONE, AND THEN
HE WIPED THE PHONE CLEAN AND THEN THEN RETURNED TO THE ORIGINAL SETTINGS,
AND INSTALLED ALL PHOTOES/APPS/AGAIN, AND THE PHONE WAS FIXED.
NOT ONLY FIXED BUT WITH ABOUT AN EXTRA 9 GIGS OF MEMORY.
