Ahead of next week's WWDC, Apple has quietly released a seventh generation
iPod touch featuring an A10 Fusion processor

The upgrade from the A8 chip found in the previous generation iPod touch
will bring support for AR games and Group FaceTime to the new model.
In addition to the upgraded processor, the new iPod touch offers a 256GB
model for the first time.
The 2019 iPod touch retains the chassis design dating back to 2012, meaning
that its 4-inch screen, large bezels, and Home button that doesn't support
Touch ID look very dated in Apple's current product line. However, this
update will ensure that the new iPod touch is capable enough to receive iOS
updates for at least a few more years. It also keeps alive the iconic "iPod"
brand name.
The seventh generation iPod touch is available to order online now at US$199
for the 32GB model, US$299 for 128GB, and US$399 for the 256GB.
