I just got an email from my mom’s aide looking for paper products (paper
towels, TP, tissues). Does anyone know of a good source to get these?Is this
something the building might be able to purchase in bulk for the residents?

needs help cleaning / Nina, what is the storytelling program / thank you
Nancy, etc). If you are open to taking on tasks if / when needed let me know

COVID, testing and isolation
- if someone is sick, you need to work through your own dr to get tested.
- bringing your loved one home is a personal decision. One person has brought
their parent home. If you brought mom home, then had to bring her back
because someone in your house tested positive, they would need to isolate for
14 days. That means anyone coming in to their apt would need to be masked and
gloved.
- Given the news re Orchard Grove and Jack Satter, what are HSL’s best
practices that we should know about how you will handle it at 100 Centre St.

“We will follow our aggressive protocols to isolate any patient exhibiting
airborne illness symptoms, as we do when we suspect a case of influenza. We
have the ability (and have done so in the past) to close certain wings in our
buildings where there has been an outbreak of the flu. We continue to monitor
best practices and guidance from the CDC and MDPH as we make decisions
specific to COVID-19.”
Building issues
- Caregivers need to wear gloves going in and out of the door.
- Temperature taking at door: residenta will now face sideways, if the temp
gets to 99 they will use a under the tongue thermometer to double check. They
are using masks and gloves. Pencils are only used once,
- Cleaning going well. 100 Centre is the only place that cleaner works. Does
halls, etc when not doing units.
- Food shopping is working out well and they hope they can add some things
[remember it is bulk food, no personal preferences, brands, etc]
- dining room workers are helping residents fill out the menus (would be
great be nice if F&F could access menus so they can help loved ones fill them
out]
- Inspection of elevator is it by the state and still seems to be going
forward.
Volunteering
- Currently there is nothing we can have the council on aging help with,
thanks for asking though.
- Calls from volunteers to seniors (telling stories) are being handled by
Lynda Bussgang. High school and college kids are signing up to make them.
