Hello everybody!

This week the session is still on, but while you might be worn down from
studying, you will definitely get a kick when you see what the cruel world
of real estate sales is like.

This Tuesday Faculty Films is showing: ?Glengarry Glen Ross? (1992)

?Glengarry Glen Ross? is the story of four Chicago salesmen - Levene,
Roma, Moss and Aaronow - and their supervisor, Williamson, who work
together selling undesirable real estate at inflated prices. The play
takes place at the end of a month in which the bosses of the company,
Mitch and Murray, have declared a "sales contest": The salesman who clears
a certain high dollar amount will win a Cadillac, and the two salesmen who
perform worst will be fired. "Glengarry Glen Ross" is a true American
masterpiece showing the shockingly ugly face of cut-trought competition in
the land or real estate.

Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play of David Mamet's, this movie
starrs the legends: Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alan Arkin, Ed Harris, Kevin
Spacey, Jonathan Pryce and includes a 5 minute shockingly intense
performance by Alec Baldwin. The play on which the movie is based has been
a marble on Broadway, and rumor has it, that a remake of it is what the
actors were allured with. When they all gathered however a decision was
made to film a movie. What you will get however is nothing short of a
theater performance which amazes with the deepness of its characters, but
at its core is a study on a group of men, whose time has passed.
