Hi team,
Windows server 2003 sp 1 new install .......
All working fine until a new client was introduced with the same name as
the server now nobody can log onto server loads of event errors re no
dns / active directory ........... any ideas how I can recover this
problem

Yes, I would suggest sending a mail from an external account and
seeing if it bounces or gets delayed.
I'd also suggest looking at your logs (enable full SMTP logging if
possible) to see what's going on.
How do the users get the mail from the server, btw?
