It happens randomly. However, the people on the other side can receive Word
documents from other people. I am stumped!
Thanks! Denise

Denise, The dat file normally appears in the recipient side, when the recipient cannot process Rich text or HTML messages. If the message is sent as plain text normally it does not happen. The dat file contacts the Rich text content of the mail. But you said, it happens even if the sender sends as Plain text. Is this happening for only this one recipient or every one ?
Regards,

Hi All -
I've asked this question before but now I really need help. The President of my company sends and email (doesn't matter whether it's plain text, rich text, html) to someone and attaches a word doc. The receiver always see's the email .doc as atti5eia.dat??
Please help!
