We do require the challenge/response. After many tries the users have
been trained to enter in the domain. It took a while for some to
understand, but they seem to get it now. :)

I'm not sure what your corporate security standards are, but I never use
challenge/response due to various browser problems. I enable clear text
and specify the default domain....my users can never figure out how to
type in the domain name, anyway.
