It really doesn't matter as long as are both able to communicate on the
network. All you need is to make both of them on the same organization
name such as mycompany.com and then they both should work like normal.

So if you user1 has a mailbox on exch1 and user2 has a mailbox on exch2
they both should send and receive emails to each other.

Server

Hi,

I have two networks connected as a VPN through Gateway/Firewall (Cisco
PIX). So the two exchange servers are on different network. Exchange
Server on Network 1 installed as PDC and another Exchange Server, on
Network 2, installed as Additional Child Domain. Both are on single
forest.

Exchange Server 1 on a domain like mycompany.com
Exchange Server 2 on a child domain like sr.mycompany.com

To your experience, how would I configure to enable these two Exchange
Servers to be able to send each other mails.

Looking to hearing from you soon.

Regards,
Piseth

I am not sure what did you just say?

Do you mean that you have two exchange servers on two different subnets?

More information is required in order for us to begin to understand your
network topology, AD design and exchange design.

Thanks

Server

Dear All,

I'm having a problem routing my Exchange Server. The situation is that
we
have two networks connected thru VPN and both have Gateway/Firewall on
each end. The main server is designed as Parent Domain Controller and
the
other one (on the other network) is promoted as a Child Domain
Controller.
However, I cannot have to two to be able to receive mails from the
Exchange Server. I hope I can make sense to you all about my issue.

Your help would be much appreciated and hope to receiving your answer
soon.

Thanks.
