Hi Danny, In Exchange 2000/2003 one good thing is you cannot accidentally overwrite your databases. You can overwrite only when you configure it to be overwritten by restore. Read this link for detailed info on RSGs, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;824126&Product=e xch2003 Regards Raj -----Original Message----- From: Danny [mailto:nocmonkey@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, September 10, 2004 5:59 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Restoring permantly deleted items - Exchange 2003 http://www.MSExchange.org/ Thanks Raj... Update: I just tried to restore a backup, but I am not give the explicit option to restore the IS to the recovery storage group. It just started restoring - I don't know where it was going or how to check, but I cancelled it in fear of overwriting the real IS. Before I ran the restore, I verified the "Allow this store to be overwritten by a restore..." was UN-checked. Any suggestions?
