I also have the same issue... I can TS, map drives, anything I want... Except
open the Outlook client. I tried to disable Strict RPC compliance in my ISA
Server 2004, no effect...

Subject: [exchangelist] Cannot connect Outlook to Exchange through VPN

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Outlook & Exchange 2003, through a IPSec VPN, I can ping by IP address
and by the name of the server, but Outlook just states that the Exchange
server is not available.

Even with proper trusted zones with ZoneAlarm, and then later disabling
ZoneAlarm still produced the same results.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

...D
