Public Folder Permissions most of the times are a pain in the neck....you have to give individual rights for individual folders because by default are not inherited. I mean it is not enough to give permissions to a folder but also you should give permission to all parent folders up to root public folder. I suggest take a look to exchange permission manager tool.....it saves me a lot of work managing permissions on public folders. -----Mensaje original----- De: Craig Gauss [mailto:gaucra@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Enviado el: viernes, 03 de marzo de 2006 16:19 Para: [ExchangeList] CC: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Asunto: [exchangelist] Public folder permissions http://www.MSExchange.org/ Shouldnt you be able to assign permissions to a public folder using a distribution list? I am working with the permissions on our Exchange 2k3 box and right now everyone has individual rights which is a pain. I changed to the distribution list but now the folder is no longer visible to the people in the list. What am I doing wrong? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: sieferda@xxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
