The problem is that you cannot export to Public Folders. That is my dilemma and I need a work around to this issue. -----Original Message----- From: Stephen Hartley [mailto:shartley@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, October 25, 2002 7:32 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Public Folders - Export/Import http://www.MSExchange.org/ Import to a contacts database on your mailbox, then transfer all names to public folders? Create a new contacts database under contacts, then remove it after exporting to public folders so that you always have a blank database ready to use. Haven't had time to analyse this yet, but I can't see why that won't work! One user is responsible for keeping this up to date. They receive a file with new agent names, numbers, and special fields. We would like to be able to import the contents of this file to the public folder contact list. When you choose file - import - from a file - the public folders are not listed as an option to import to. That is what I am trying to get resolved. Thanks for your help. Let me know if you can think of a way to do this without excluding the public folder.
