We have an Exchange 2000 standard edition running on Windows 2000. Yesterday the mailbox store reached it 16GB limit. I increase it temporarily using the registry fix I found on www.microsoft.com. I have gotten users to clean up their mailbox and now I need to do an off line defrag. I spoke with the guy who set this box up over 2 years ago and he said that he has never done an off-line defrag before. So this will be the first time running it on this server. Is there anything I need to be concerned with running off line defrag on this exchange for the first time. I have read up on it and it seems simple enough, I will do a complete backup of the exchange before defrag, and I setup test box to test this on first. Is there anything I should be aware of? Thanks for your help. Rick
