we have a single win2k3 domain controller.  it's not running in universal mode.

Sounds like your running your Windows 2000 domain in Mixed mode, if you
don't have any Windows NT Domain Controllers then you can convert to Native
mode and then you will be able to create Universal groups.

We have a customer requirement to host multiple domains (xyz.com, abc.com,
etc.) within one exhange server. the users will be unique among the
domains. the users cannot see the other domains in their address book. i

Whenever I try to create a "Universal Group", my 'universal' button is
greyed out. any help??
