In our current case the whole message is returned to the sender (sorry I left that part out). It apparently waits for 12 hours then is returned. If they are using outlook express it is in the security tab. If using outlook 2002 or earlier you will have to make changes to either the registry or download a free tool. Second scenario: Your ISP or others down the food chain maybe blocking attachments from certain countries. I am not sure how tru this is, but I did read an article somewhere about it in regards to dealing with spam. I doubt this maybe the problem and I think the first maybe more likely the problem. This article explains a bit more about it http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318515 also you may opt for other remedies. Paul Taylor 1296 Wiltshire Lane Mississauga, Ont. We moved the server about a month ago from a clone system to a Dell machine (I installed software). One of our accociates in Korea can not send a message with attachments to us although they can send without attachments. The same is true in the opposite direction. Associates in other countries (Japan, Guam, Siapan, Australia) have no problems. I had the Korea emailer send a test to us and to another Exchange setup at another facility (same setup). We did not receive the test but the other facility did. If the other facility forwards to us we do receive the test. We don't limit size. Their attachment was about 6 files that totaled 300k. This was not a problem prior to the move. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Tom ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: paul@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: tomm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: dolly@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
