Internal user email address looks like SMTP address.

Sometimes when user sent mail using OWA to the internal exchange users,
if I open the message and click on sender address it will look like an
SMTP address( not like internal AD user.)
I have single domain windows 2003+exchange2003 setup.
This happens occasionally.. any idea what could be the reason ?
