How to you prevent your Exchange server from sending NDR's to invalid messages? -----Original Message----- From: Lara, Greg [mailto:GLara@xxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, August 30, 2004 11:46 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Incoming mail fast....Outgoing Slowwwwwwww w http://www.MSExchange.org/ Probably, yes. If your server is responding with an NDR for each invalid message it receives, they can back up pretty quickly depending on the volume of spam you receive. If you ran an anti-spam solution on another gateway machine you'd avoid this, as the Exchange box would never even see the messages in the first place. Asymmetrical Internet connection. Virtual server misconfigured. Do the emails stay in the queue that long, or does the delay happen after they leave your network?
