Try stopping all the Exch and 3rd party services and re-apply SP2.
Ensure you are applying it with the correct permissions to create the
new IMF objects and have removed IMF V1 if its already installed per the
release notes.
You have backups right?

IS stops after exchange 2003 SP2 installation with the following error:
Unable to initialize the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service.
Failed to retrieve msExchUce value from DS (DSVAL in error) - Error
0x80004005.
solutions related to error 0x80004005 from technet is not getting the IS
to start again,
please any help will be highly appreciated
