Hi Praveen,

I can tell you about Exchange 2007 on Windows 2003 64 bit. We haven’t seen any issue since last one year as have implemented Exchange 2007 on Windows 2003 64 bit. It works fine without any issues.

Subject: [ExchangeList] Exchange 2007 on windows 2003 64bit or 2008 64 bit

Hi,

we plan to implement exchange 2007 64bit in a cluster single copy. But we are apprehensive about going on windows 2008 OS. I am not sure about the advantages of exchange 2007 on windows 2008. More security is not a major criteria for me to decide on this. Apart from this how stable is windows 2008. We need to host at least 8000 mailboxes in a cluster, so any unknown issues will be a real pain.

In fact we have not used windows 2003 64 bit either. We are currently running on exchage 2003 on windows 2003. Hence thought of taking some inputs from wise people.

Can you please provide your inputs on exchange 2007 on windows 2003 64 bit or 2008 64 bit ! Which one is better and why do you think so.

Regards

Praveen R
