Exchange 2003 not connecting after domain migration

i have an exchange 2003 up and running on windows 2000 domain.
i upgraded the domain to windows 2003 on the same hardware. After the domain
upgrade the exchange services doesnt start, i.e. the system attendent service
fails to start. I know this is due to the DNS. Is there any workaround for this.
Earlier i did the domain migration on the different hardware by installing an
Additional DC and promoting to DC and transferring all the 5 FSMO. even in this
situation the exchange services didnt came up.
i am in an hanging position, need to have exchange running on new domain ASAP
