Apart from viruses is there any reason why in a small Exchange 2000
environment with a store size of about 7gb that log files are created at an
alarming rate and fill up the drive they are on?

In the last week I've had a couple of systems do this. In both cases the
backup has failed to run and the log files have not been cleared (Backup
Exec V8.6 SBS edition) Then the following morning within a couple of hours
gigabytes (i.e 15-20gb) of log files appear. I then run the backup which
clears them and everything is ok.

We do a full backup each night.

thanks

Andy
