We have 5000+ users and host them on a 2 server CCR cluster, so basically their just on one server until failover is needed.  The servers are pretty heavy iron, dual quad cores with 64gig ram.  The public stores are on a server of their own.  (Note: Public folders cannot be on a CCR cluster.)  We also have 2 load balanced CAS and 2 load balanced Edge servers.  So basically we have 7 pretty healthy servers running our Exchange 2007 environment for 5000+ users and performance is great.

Subject: [ExchangeList] Cluster Basics

Hello,

New to clustering. If i want to migrate my mailboxes on to a windows 2003/2007 cluster ( currently 3 exchange servers evenly hosting 4000 mailboxes and 1 hosting public folders. No cluster), how will be the cluster configuration ( like how many servers needed) .

Thanks

raj
