Chris I would block all of those, it is very easy now for a url to be launched when you open a video file, my policy when it comes to attachments is, if you cannot provide me with a valid business reason why we should allow a certain type of attachment in then it will not be allowed in. I am running GFI Mail Essentials and out of the box it is very restrictive. I have relaxed many of the blocks. There are a couple that I have questions about and would like to get the communities opinion. Should these be blocked? - .ASF - .WMV - .MPEG - .WMZ I realize that most of these deal with video in some capacity, but my concern is if files of this type can in general be safe to my user community (free of virus') Thanks for your opinion, Chris ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------
