Interesting. I don't think I would have set up a connector necessarily, but
that works doesn't it?

As for forwarding, you can use contacts to do this. The contact has two
addresses, the receiving address and the destination address. i.e.
user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx & user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx This will allow
your machine to accept for user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and deliver it to the other.

Does that solve your problem?

Hi Al

I currently forward incoming mail from one Exchange 2000 server in one
Organisation to a 2003 server in another. Here is how I do it. In exchange
2000 and 2003 you can forward mail to remote domains by setting up a new
internet mail connector. You then need to restrict the address space to just
the domain you want to forward to on that connector and set up the
forwarding to a smart host and allow relaying for that domain. As these
settings are more specific than the general rules for other mail they will
take precedence but since the address space is restricted it will only apply
for that domain.

If anyone can add more detail please feel free.

Hope that helps. Don't hesitate to get back to me if I can help further.

Regards,

Paul Lemonidis.
