I think jperez is looking for an autoresponder.  If so, have a look at
www.slipstick.com and I believe you'll find what you're looking for.  Keep
in mind that real answer to what you're doing would be to use an event
synch, but there are other ways that may suffice.  MUA level programs have
not always been the most reliable from what I've seen.

That is a Delivery Receipt you are talking about. I believe that is enabled
by default.
