David,
Do we have a comprehensive assess inventory listing of what and where
everything is?

Brooks,
If you could get this telescope it would be great, and have temporary room in
your garage, that would be great also ! Depending on what the primary &
diagonal mirrors look like, maybe we would have at least an 8 inch ota that
might be usable by someone. Most of those telescopes we have in storage would
qualify for an FTGH sale. {Free To Good Home}. If the ota looks half-way
decent, we could sell it as-is with a free galvanized pipe mount included.
The way our past auctions have gone, used telescopes have not sold for a high
bid. I will contact this lady tomorrow, what day/time would work best for
you?
Thanx, David

Thanks David,
I'd say accept it and then sell it (with or without putting TLC into it). By
selling it, we are finding a home for it, and may someday use those funds to
buy a scope that is ready to use - i.e., no extra TLC needed. If it looks
like it wouldn't even fetch $100, then maybe we offer it to the first club
member who wants it for free?
Perhaps we should make a decision on on the other scopes - fix em and keep
em, fix em and sell em, or just sell them and let someone else put the TLC
into it.
Those are the first thoughts that come to mind to me at 12:15 am.

Hey crew,
I have arrived back into town from being in Anaheim all week. I have been
in contact with a lady in Awhatukee who has an older, home made 8 inch
sonotube newtonian, on a home made galvanized pipe eq mount her friend's
father made back in the 1980's. From what I understand, her friend moved
into a smaller house and has no room to store the scope, so he has asked
her to donate the scope to an astronomy club, so she went online and found
EVAC. My main concern is - with this scope being 30 plus years old, what
condition is this scope in, and primary mirror in? We already have four, 4
inch and 6 inch eq mounted newtonian's in storage that need a lot of TLC to
make them usable. With pictures that look like the scope might not be in
the best condition, and her living out in Awhatukee, what should I do? We
have no room in EVAC storage for this, and I can't keep it at my house. Do
I tell this lady thank you for the offer for the donation, but sorry we are
not interested?
Thanx, David
