Hi everyone,
Lynn Young has been our Outreach Coordinator for more than 10 yrs, but must
step down for health reasons. Lynn did a great job organizing our crew of
volunteers which took care of schools and organizations that requested
night sky views. Thousands of people were able to look through telescopes
every year, many for the first time, because of our outreach program. The
impact this has on the young minds of the school children is priceless.
Perhaps some of them will consider an engineering or science career because
they looked through a telescope and were inspired to learn more about our
universe.
EVAC, along with our schools and community, need a coordinator to continue
the tradition. Lynn is happy to chat with the next coordinator to transfer
all of his practical knowledge he has gathered in this role.
